Welcome back to Table Talk! This monthly series dishes on all things behind the scenes of Chef Kate F, as well as what you can expect to see here this month.

As always, please be sure to share in the comments what you've been watching, reading, and enjoying, as well as any cool places you've been this past month! I love hearing what you've been up to. 🙂
What I've Been Watching
Never did I ever think I'd hear crickets in my mind as I try to rack my brain for what it is I've been watching this month... but your girl has become obsessed with reading fiction lately and as a result I've spent most evenings with a book instead of TV!
Hunter and I have been wanting to see Oppenheimer and Barbie but have yet to get the chance. If you've seen either of these let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Nothing exciting here other than golf. We've been watching a lot of golf. 🙂 It was a blast watching Viktor Hovland win the FedEx Cup, and we are looking forward to watching the Ryder Cup later this month! We actually got to go to our first PGA event in August—more on that below.
Now that the PGA tour is over for the season, we are ready to jump right back into Premiere League. Massive Arsenal fans over here! 🙂 Anyone else?
What I've Been Reading
Okay, now I'll gush! I know I'm a little late to the game (I'm not on TikTok, okay... at least not yet, anyway!) ...but WOW WOW WOW, I am utterly obsessed with the ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) series! I read all of the books in the series (so far 🙂 ) in less than a month. It is the fantasy/romance you are craving if that's your sort of thing. I quite literally could not put these books down.
Now a massive Sarah J. Maas fan, I have just begun the Crescent City series. I will report back next month. 😉
Where I've Been
One morning I came home from a run and Hunter had Walking in Memphis playing while he held two camping chairs and clear plastic backpacks. It took me a solid 5 minutes of questions before I realized where we were going. That morning we headed to Memphis to watch the FedEx St. Jude Championship, our first PGA event. It was one of the longest, hottest days I've experienced, but an absolute dream. We followed our favorites, Brian Harman and Tony Finau for a good bit, and I got a fist bump from Justin Rose—fan-girling!

I pride myself on being great at packing food for all-day outings, so Hunter and I enjoyed my Summer Pasta Salad for lunch during the event. 🙂
A week later we spent the weekend in St. Louis celebrating my cousin's wedding. She had a vegan-friendly wedding that was absolutely gorgeous. You may remember her from the plant-based bridal shower where I made my Vegan Cheese Board!
Earlier this month we also visited my grandma in Chicago for a lovely few days. It has been a busy, busy past few weeks but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
What I've Been Enjoying
With my recent fascination with fantasy fiction I've been dabbling a bit in creative fiction writing. I used to love creating stories as a kid, so I figured why not try it now?! It's been incredibly relaxing and fulfilling to pour myself into a world that I am creating.
I got the ACOTAR coloring book...I know, I know, obsessed much?!
In short, this past month has been ALL about creativity. If you haven't already, be sure to check out my blog post How to Tap Into Your Inner Child Creativity & Why You Need To. It's quick read that may reignite some fun childhood pastimes.
